Kenyan Deputy President's Pilot Alistair Llewelyn is a Kenyan from Timau

The pilot caught on camera assaulting a policewoman in Nyandarua is a white Kenyan who grew up in Timau.

Alistair Llewelyn's father, Tim, owned Ol Donyo Farm on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya. His brother Bryn now runs the farm which grows flowers, wheat and breeds boran cattle.
Kenyans on social media who were outraged by Llewelyn's assault on corporal Mercy Wandera had called for his deportation.
They reacted to the clip via Twitter hash tag #DeportRutosPilot, with many condemning the act as inappropriate.
The pilot surrendered to police at Kilimani police station in Nairobi on Tuesday, following calls by IG Joseph Boinnet for his arrest.
Llewelyn was held at the station and then taken to Engineer police station in Kinangop, Nyandarua county, where he committed the offence.
He recorded a statement there, explaining the circumstances that led him to grab the officer's swagger stick, insult and push her.
Wandera recorded her statement at Engineer police station earlier in the day on the incident on Sunday whose video went viral.
Llewelyn had flown DP William Ruto to Ndunyu Njeru for a church service. He was trying to control a crowd that had gathered in front of the chopper when he was captured attacking the policewoman.
He was later fired by Kwae Island Development, which had subcontracted his services from Saker Resource Management.
The DP's office clarified that the pilot was not one of his staff members.
Communication secretary David Mugonyi noted that Ruto respects the hardworking police officers who spend hours securing the country and regrets the "unacceptable, regrettable" incident.
