Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta Urges Kenyan Youths to Intermarry to Abolish Tribalism

President Uhuru Kenyatta took time to grace a friends wedding held on 6th February at CITAM where he urged the youth to intermarry inorder to finish tribalism.

Through a statement released on his social media handle the president pleaded with the youth to emulate Chemeli Chumo and Kevin Oduor who are from different ethnic groups but were united through marriage.
I have this morning joined the families of Chemeli Chumo and Kevin Oduor to witness their wedding ceremony which took place at Christ is the Answer Ministries. It is always a joyful occasion when we see our children bring us together. It is better to be united as a nation than be divided on ethnic lines. I urge all Kenyans to emulate the young couple who have made a choice to break down the barriers of ethnicity through intermarriage.
Intermarriage could be the solution to overcome tribalism and the division caused by ethnic lines. Therefore intermarrying could bring unity in the country. What our country needs is unity, which will help in building a strong nation for all of us to live in and enjoy peace.
He then went ahead to wish thrm happiness and God’s blessings as they start their life as a married couple.I wish them joy peace and understanding in their marriage and God’s blessings for abundance and long life. See More pis below
