Political tension hikes in Uganda

Political tension is high in Uganda, as the 37 million population prepare for the national
elections on February,18.
The election is tagged “A three-horse race” between Museveni and his seasoned opponent Kizza Besigye and his former ally Amama Mbabazi.
Ahead of the elections, Uganda police have been furnished with more than 35 anti-riot vehicles which have been spotted at the port of Mombasa.
This comes just days after President Uhuru Kenyatta commissioned a fleet of armoured personnel carriers (APCs) to the Kenya police service to improve police mobility to trouble spots. Here are some photos of Uganda’s vehicles
