Paddy Dear, 16, of Campion School Science Academy in Hornchurch, Essex, died while on a Year 12 geography trip near Milford Haven, on the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales.
Dyfed-Powys Police on Friday confirmed the body of a missing teenager had been found among rocks at the bottom of cliffs at Dale Fort.
Paddy's headteacher described him as a "wonderful young man" and a "talented all-round sportsman."
